Attorney Isaac Peres
Isaac H. Peres, the firm’s Senior Civil Litigator, graduated from the Maimonides School in Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1977. He received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1981 and his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 1984. He is a member of the state and federal bars in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Starting in 1984, Attorney Peres worked as an associate for a high-profile criminal defense firm on the North Shore, handling state and federal cases of major import.
From 1987 to 1994, Attorney Peres worked as an associate for a major Boston law firm. At that firm, he was responsible for preparing many dispositive motions and appeals in civil cases. During that time, Attorney Peres honed his outstanding oral and written advocacy skills and was responsible for reversing two multi-million-dollar jury verdicts against the firm’s banking clients on appeal. Attorney Peres also argued a case before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court during a session in Salem, Massachusetts, commemorating the Court’s 300th anniversary.
Since 1994, Attorney Peres has been a partner in two small law firms and has also been a solo practitioner. Over the years, he has represented many individuals and small businesses in trials and appeals, including real estate, medical and legal malpractice, partnership dissolution, bankruptcy, and debt collection cases. Attorney Joseph Zoppo
Attorney Joseph Zoppo brings a combined 20 years of experience in real estate as an attorney, banker, and real estate broker. His multidisciplinary approach is designed to address your transactional or litigation-related real estate and commercial matters.
Attorney Zoppo’s experience encompasses many facets of the business and legal world. After working at five Fortune 500 companies in various finance roles, he began his legal career in merger and acquisition defense.
He started his real estate career as a litigator in the real estate practice group of a southern New England law firm during the late eighties and early nineties, representing both lenders and borrowers.
While actively engaged in the legal representation of clients involved in commercial litigation and business transactions, both real estate and corporate, loan workouts, and refinancings, Attorney Zoppo also maintains a busy mortgage banker practice, assisting clients in securing both commercial and residential real estate financing.
He is an experienced real estate broker, adept in commercial buy/sell/lease transactions and workouts for his commercial and residential developer, investor, and retail clients. Additionally, Attorney Zoppo developed two of his own real estate projects, transforming one from unimproved land to a fully tenanted income property and renovating the other for sale. He has managed two closely held technology/manufacturing companies, served as General Counsel for one, and currently holds the same role for two real estate holding companies.
